Halloween Accent Pillow
Halloween is just around the corner, I was trying to think of inexpensive but cute project to start. Since we have a new bench in our foyer I thought it would be really nice to spruce up that area with an accent pillow for each of the holidays.
2014 Halloween Movies
Here is a schedule of all the movies that we will be watching from now until Halloween. I know it seems like a lot, and sometimes we are not able to watch movies every night or we will mix it around. Its overwhelming for us to sit there and decide on a movie that night, this we use more as a guide.
College Themed Door Wreath
Over the years I have accumulated TONS of Mardi Gras beads, its to the point now where I am just about ready to chuck them. I found this on Pinterest and I fell in love with it! Whats funny is the door in the picture is the same color of our front door so I already knew how the final project would look. This was my inspiration, I only used the beads as the base of my project.
"To Knights Stadium" Directional Arrow Sign
This was definitely one of our "bigger" projects. We were looking for a way to extend our patio, we came across our neighborhood builder demolishing a parking lot made from pavers. There was a sign that said "Free Pavers" you just had to get them yourselves. So there we were with many other homeowners/workers loading free pavers into our cars. This saved us a lot of money!
I am not one for having "sayings wall art" all over the house, one or two is enough for me. I did come across this on pinterest, thought it hit close to come. So of course rather than buy it i recreated it. Here is what I found on pinterest:
Old Bench Revamp!
So I have been looking for a piece for our foyer and while shopping around I stumbled upon this bench. Now my thought when I saw this was how hideous, it looks like something that belongs in Miami subs (for those of you that are not familiar with MS, just think really tacky Floridan.
We are super excited this year, we get to celebrate Christmas with both of our families in our new home, that's 15 family members all under one roof (you know like a "Home Alone" setup.) So much to do, so little time, here I am already thinking about all the little details and its only October! I have a million different ideas for recipes and decorating all going through my head. My sister-in-law and I are going to be planning this together!
